Georgia is a country that connects deeply with the women who visit it. Its faith, its food, its creative traditions and its history are all intertwined with the stories of extraordinary women — from Saint Nino, who brought Christianity to Georgia in the 4th century, to the queens, artisans and winemakers whose legacy is still alive in the communities you will visit.
This program is designed for women's travel groups looking for cultural depth, meaningful encounters and hands-on experiences that go beyond conventional sightseeing. It combines the highlights of Georgia with a curated selection of workshops, local family visits and artisan experiences that reveal a more intimate and personal side of the country.
Day 1 — Arrival in Tbilisi Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Welcome dinner at a traditional Georgian restaurant with folk music program.
Day 2 — Tbilisi: Culture and Craft A guided walk through Old Tbilisi taking in Anchiskhati Basilica, Metekhi church, the carved balconies of the historic quarter and Narikala fortress by cable car. The afternoon visits the National Museum of Georgia. The day ends with a cloisonné enamel masterclass at a private artisan workshop, learning a centuries-old Georgian jewelry-making technique and creating a piece to take home.
Day 3 — Kakheti: Wine, Food and Community East to Kakheti for Bodbe Monastery, where Saint Nino is buried, and a conversation with one of the sisters of the convent. The walled town of Sighnaghi follows. Lunch and wine tasting with a local family, learning to bake Georgian bread and prepare churchkhela and the traditional Nazuki spice bread. A visit to a local community center introduces the women behind locally made products and the cooperatives sustaining rural livelihoods in the region.
Day 4 — Mtskheta and Uplistsikhe Jvari Monastery and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral in ancient Mtskheta. Uplistsikhe, the remarkable rock-hewn town carved into the cliff above the Mtkvari River. Wine tasting at a small organic family winery in the Kartli region, meeting the owners and learning about their approach to natural and biodynamic wine production.
Day 5 — Kazbegi: People of the Mountains North to Kazbegi along the Georgian Military Highway, with a stop at Ananuri Fortress. A 4WD ascent to Gergeti Holy Trinity Church. Lunch with a local family in the valley, followed by a felt-making masterclass at a private studio run by local women artisans, with herbal tea and homemade jams. The mountain setting and the warmth of the encounter make this one of the most memorable afternoons of the journey.
Day 6 — Departure Return to Tbilisi and transfer to the airport.
