Two countries. Two ancient civilisations. One extraordinary journey.
Turkey and Armenia share more than a border. They share millennia of overlapping history, trade routes, architectural traditions and culinary influences that have shaped both cultures in ways that are still visible today. To travel through both is to trace the arc of one of the world's great civilisational stories, from the grandeur of Ottoman Istanbul and the otherworldly landscapes of Cappadocia to the sacred monasteries and highland lakes of ancient Armenia.
This nine-day journey connects two of the most compelling destinations in the region, combining the imperial splendour of Istanbul, the volcanic wonders of Cappadocia and the deep cultural authenticity of Yerevan and its surrounding landscapes into one seamless, unforgettable program.
Day 1 — Arrival in Istanbul Arrival in Istanbul and check-in at a carefully selected hotel in the heart of the city. The evening opens with a welcome dinner at a traditional Ottoman restaurant in Sultanahmet, the historic heart of the city.
Day 2 — Istanbul: The Imperial City Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque and Topkapi Palace in the morning, followed by the Grand Bazaar in the afternoon. The day closes with an evening Bosphorus cruise watching the city's skyline glow as the sun sets over two continents.
Day 3 — Into Cappadocia An early morning flight to Cappadocia. The afternoon brings the Goreme Open Air Museum, the surreal formations of Devrent Valley and the fairy chimneys of Pasabag Monks Valley, before a panoramic sunset from Uchisar Castle.
Day 4 — Cappadocia & Return to Istanbul An optional hot air balloon ride at sunrise over the valleys of Cappadocia. The morning continues with a descent into the Kaymakli underground city and an afternoon walk through the Red Valley, before a flight back to Istanbul for a final overnight.
Day 5 — Istanbul to Yerevan A relaxed morning in Istanbul before a midday flight to Yerevan, marking the journey's transition from one ancient world to another. Arrival, hotel check-in and a welcome dinner introducing the group to the warmth and depth of Armenian cuisine.
Day 6 — Yerevan: The Pink City Republic Square, the Mother Armenia statue, the Matenadaran manuscript library and the Cascade complex in the morning. The day ends at the Ararat Brandy distillery for a guided tour and tasting, followed by a traditional dinner with folk music and dance.
Day 7 — Khor Virap, Echmiadzin & the Food Market An early morning visit to Khor Virap monastery with its iconic Mount Ararat backdrop, followed by Echmiadzin cathedral and its treasury museum. The afternoon returns to Yerevan for a visit to the city's vibrant food market.
Day 8 — Lake Sevan, Geghard & Garni Lake Sevan and Sevanavank monastery in the morning, followed by the UNESCO cave monastery of Geghard where a live performance of medieval Armenian chants fills the ancient stone chambers. A lavash bread making experience and a visit to the Hellenistic Temple of Garni complete the day.

Every Journey is a Starting Point
Every itinerary we present is a carefully considered starting point, not a fixed itinerary. Our programs have been designed with years of on-the-ground experience, but no two groups are alike and no two journeys need to be either.
Every program in our portfolio can be adapted to suit the specific needs, interests and pace of your clients. Dates, duration, accommodation level, additional experiences, all of it can be shaped around what your clients are looking for. Our team is here to make it work, from the first conversation to the final detail.
